May 10th, 2012 by admin

Let’s all rewind to a little over a year ago. A few friends of the ‘Camp mentioned to us that they were going to open up a barber shop. Now, lets move back to to presest day and join us this Saturday as we celebrate the one year anniversary of Chief Barber Shop. M-POS, SICKROC, & JAY V will be playing some tunes for you all to enjoy. We hope you can keep your head knods to a minimum while you’re getting a cut… Hehe! As a thank you to their clients, families, & friends the Chief staff will be providing some food, “refreshments” and giveaways. Oh, lets not forget to mention… THEY WILL BE RAFFLING OFF A 32″ LED FLATSCREEN TV.

Illvibe Invasion at More Than Enough!

May 5th, 2012 by admin

More Than Enough is being taken over by Philly for the entire month of May, as the illVibe Collective invades and pushes the Elite Camp aside!

Things kick off right for Cinco de Mayo as illVibe’s Lil’ Dave comes through to wreck the set with More Than Enough’s Dynamic Kevins, KJ Butta & Kev Love.

We don’t slow down in the middle of the month either, as illVibe’s young bull, PHSH and the vet Phillee Blunt step up against Elite Camp’s own young bull & vet duo Kev Love and Unkle Chip.

The program is still the same, no dress code, no pretentious doormen. One of the last true dance parties in NYC.

CINCO DE MAYO
Saturday, May 5th at 10pm-4a
at The Gallery at LPR (Le Poisson Rouge) 158 Bleecker Street, New York City

Free with RSVP before 12AM / $5 without RSVP and after 12AM

Rest In Peace, Adam Yauch aka MCA.

May 5th, 2012 by admin

It’s such a tragedy to hear that Adam Yauch, also known as MCA, of the Beastie Boys has just passed. Since the mid 80′s him and his trio represented the left field of the hip-hop game, and how you didn’t have to be a rapper with this serious demeanor to be relevant in the game. Their ‘party and bullshit’ approach grabbed many fans both young and old and always were major players in the game. His musical movement as well as his ‘Free Tibet’ campaign are some of his honorable mentions. Thank you for the memories, and such amazing music, MCA.
