DOWN & DIRTY BMX CONTEST PRESENTED BY RED BULL, ZOO YORK & ANIMAL BIKES

Top BMX riders will gather in Asbury Park, NJ, on November 4th to battle it out on a custom built street course housed within the once famed Asbury Park Casino. A Jersey Shore landmark draped in history, the dilapidated casino may be an eyesore to some, but it is the perfect spot for grizzled BMX dogs to shred a variety of made and found obstacles like a 54-foot articulated NYC bus, a beat up yellow cab, and of course, Jersey barriers.
Red Bull Down & Dirty will run in a jam format with riders competing in teams of four. More than thirty riders from the US and UK are slated to compete, with Edwin De La Rosa, Vinnie Sammon, Ruel “Wormz” Smith, and Tyrone Williams representing for the Zoo. Riders will be scored individually, and the team whose combined score is the highest will roll away with pockets full of cash. There will also be a Zoo York Best Trick contest at the end of the day where winner takes all. With more than $10,000 in total cash and prizes up for grabs, you can bet riders will throw down some serious hammers as they fight for top honors and a healthy paycheck.
Red Bull Down & Dirty is made possible through generous support from Zoo York and Animal Bikes. All the action gets underway at Noon on Sunday, November 4th, and it is free to the public.
